For I am the Lord, your God,
who takes hold of your right
hand and says to you,
"Do not fear. I will help you."
when I was in a very dark time in my life, this is the scripture that became
life to me. The devastating end of 26 years of marriage, and the realization
that I would become single—alone, and then who knows what—was more than I could
conceive of.
In that dark time, the light of God's Word came to me and lifted
the despair. It brought me hope. And His word is still as fresh and hopeful
today. Many times over those next 20 years, through many trying circustances, His Word has remaiend the same. Facing breast cancer, facing my child's kidney failure and transplant, desperately praying for granddaughters with serious illnesses. He is and has always ben there—his hand outstretched with the power
to conquer fear. That's our God!
I'm not sure who this
is for today, but my message to you is this: God sees and knows.
No matter if
it's a devastating physical diagnosis, a failed or failing relationship, a sick
child, or maybe financial devastation, remember that God sees and knows. He just asks
us to muster the strength to reach up and take hold of His outstretched hand
(visualize it...it's there for you).
Give Him your fear and your concern and then
rest in His promises. He is faithful!!
Blessings,
Dawn
